Ford Mustang and 4 cylinders

Company Ford has decided to please fans of the series Mustang and is working on a new line of engines, which will include a turbocharged four-cylinder unit with direct fuel injection. Developed on the basis of two-liter engine family EcoBoost, a new 2.3-liter four (according to the site The Mustang News), will receive a different cylinder head and be able to develop about 275 mustangovyh forces. Alas, before 2015, this engine is unlikely to be put into production. Also, the new line will include a six-cylinder turbocharged engine of 2.7 liters, which is one of the pluses is the ability to install both the front-wheel drive vehicles and on the rear-wheel drive. Most likely, the new engine will be strengthened Ford Mustang, Edge crossover and sedan Fusion, but not earlier than 2015. Five-liter eight-cylinder engine Coyote, setting the current Mustang GT, will be available for next-generation model, but gets direct fuel injection, which will improve fuel efficiency. Recall that the current Ford Mustang is available with a 3.7-liter V6 engine 305 horsepower, 402-strong five-liter "eight", 444-horsepower version of the same amount of Boss 302, and 550-horsepower 5.4-liter eight-unit with a mechanical supercharger to be modified Shelby GT500.
