Canadian variator for Tata Nano


Tata Nano will receive a version with two pedals - the company announced the development version of the cheapest car in the world, equipped with a CVT.
Negotiations on the development of continuously variable transmissions for the Nano are conducted with a Canadian firm CVTech, specializing in this field. In case of successful completion of Canadians will deliver variable speed on conveyor Tata and moreover, to be built in India its manufacturing plant near Tata.
At the moment Nano is offered in three trim levels, and all - the same powertrain: 0.6-liter gasoline engine, aggregated with four "mechanics."
