A new generation of Hyundai Elantra

July 27 Hyundai Motor introduced in Seoul next generation sedan Elantra (in the Korean market - Avante). 

The fifth generation model has a more sporty and modern appearance in comparison with the previous one, and will be equipped with new powerful and economical power unit family Gamma with direct fuel injection. 

The new engine develops 1.6 GDI 140 hp and a torque of 167 Nm. In conjunction with six-speed automatic transmission, it reduces fuel consumption up to 6 l/100 km. 

The new Elantra offers a large list of options previously unavailable for cars in the compact class, such as parking assistant, heated rear seats, light thresholds and color display in the dashboard. 

Elantra is also a well-equipped security system: side airbags and curtain airbags in the initial configuration, active head restraints, as well as for the first time in the classroom, stability VSM. Optionally available system tire pressure monitoring and warning system for emergency braking.
