Ford will develop a budget sedan in China

Ford will develop a budget for the Chinese market for sedan platform, the current Focus.

At first it was assumed that the basis for future budget model will form the last generation Fiesta - the Ford already is a model of Figo, built on this platform and unsuccessfully marketed in India. However, this idea has been decided to give up, because for the Chinese, the size of the car is of great importance.

Future innovation will be made at the plant of Ford in China's Sichuan province, which is now busy assembling Focus.

It is worth recalling that earlier letter of intent to enter the world's largest market with an inexpensive model have manufacturers such as Toyota, Nissan, General Motors, Volkswagen and Honda.
