A prototype of an electric super car presented at SEMA tuning show Li-Ion Inizio built on the funds won by the contest for the best production-ready car with a fuel consumption of no more than 2.35 liters per 100 km-Automotive X-Prize for the Electric Wave II.
Inizio accelerates to 60 miles per hour in 3.4 seconds - 0.3 seconds on a better result than the famous Tesla Roadster. Maximum speed - 270 km / h, power reserve of up to 400 km. The machine is driven by an electric motor power 145 kW. The main advantage over its competitors - is the availability of a replacement set of batteries and a simplified procedure for their replacement.
Li-Ion motors intend to begin production Inizio the summer of 2011, and sell at a price of 139,000 dollars to 15,000 cars annually.
