Japanese automaker Toyota plans to introduce the 2012 budget car, whose price will not exceed 11.5 thousand dollars. The new car will be offered first on the markets of China and Southeast Asia.
The budget model will be made based on the Yaris. Producers of plans to reduce the cost of production by an average of 30-40% by manufacturing parts for the car in the same countries where they will produce and sell the car. However, Toyota's small inexpensive car company develops and Daihatsu, its "child" would be sold under the brand name Toyota.
On the plans for an inexpensive car, calculated on the developing markets of Russia, Brazil, India and China, Japanese conglomerate said back in 2006.
